Burning Information

Our fire district follows Yamhill and Polk County Fire Defense Board recommendations. This year Yamhill County opened the Burn Season on Oct. 1 and Polk County will open it on Oct. 15. Also, the Oregon Department of Forestry and the Department of Environmental Quality established regional burning regulations.

Open Burning Season

Backyard burning is allocated for two seasons: Spring and Fall. However, it may be closed on any given day during the season, due to weather or air quality issues. Please call the Yamhill County Burn Line for the daily burn advisory. If the information has not been updated for the current day when you call, please call us and we will get the information for you.
