As I’ve driven around the fire district I’ve noticed many houses in town don’t have clearly marked house numbers visible from the street and out in the rural areas many driveways don’t have address markers.
If we can’t find you, we can’t help you. In town emergency services need to be able to identify your house numbers from the street. In the rural areas, a marker with your address clearly visible at the end of the driveway really helps us find you or a loved one when seconds count.
Reflective driveway address signs are available at the fire districts main station in Sheridan for $15.00 or $25.00 for a marker and post.
Whether you get your marker from us or reflective numbers from the hardware store, it is critical that we can find your home in a time of emergency.
